NEURO BOOTCAMP™
Neuro Bootcamp™ is an intensive
program designed to help with neurological processing issues,
head injuries, learning difficulties and behavioral problems.
The intensive portion of the program consists of multiple appointments
each day for four and a half days. Follow up appointments, home
assignments, and other suggestions will be assessed on an individual
basis.
Appointments may consist of:
l) Books Neural Therapy, (BNT) to address
structural and neurological components that affect learning
and behavior. This will include cranial work to deal with specific
brain areas, motor and sensory channel clearing and upgrading,
TMJ work (jaw joint) and it's relationship with the hips, pelvis
and other centering and balancing areas, visual and auditory
processing, physical coordination, and fine motor skills.
2) BNT may also incorporate the use of
an emotional clearing technique, such as Emotional Freedom Technique
(EFT) or Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). Additionally, Brain
Gym® exercises will be introduced and Brain Gym® balances
may be employed to help clear any emotional residue around various
learning and behavior issues.
3) NAET: Allergy Elimination. Allergies
are present in 40% of the patients that qualify for BNT. Dr.
Books will address the allergy portion of the treatment with
several modalities, including: NAET, NET and biofeedback, and
sometimes via homeopathy. (Allergy treatments may require additional
sessions after Bootcamp concludes)
4) Biofeedback. BFHC uses two different
kinds of biofeedback instruments. Biofeedback has been well
recognized over the past 25 years for its contributions to head
injuries, learning and behavioral problems, depression and other
emotional issues.
5) Laboratory Testing. BFHC may utilize
NeuroScience laboratories to assess for any chemical or hormonal
imbalances. Often these imbalances cause underlying problems
or contribute significantly to current problems.
BFHC may also recommend a heavy metal
analysis performed by Analytical Research Laboratories. Aluminum,
mercury, lead and other metals can affect physical, mental and
emotional performance. Homeopathy and other gentle procedures,
such as the Ion Cleanse foot bath will be utilized when appropriate.
Home exercises will be given to each
Neuro Bootcamp™ participant as follow up. These exercises
will need to be executed daily for at least 28 days. Follow
up sessions will be recommended on a case by case basis.

B) Bring in testing or reports from other professionals with
your first consultation.
C) Ideally, complete any optional laboratory testing two weeks
ahead of actual Neuro Bootcamp™ week. We are happy to mail
test kits to our out of town patients.
D) Set up appointments with the front desk for five consecutive
days. Plan to allot four to five hours each day for Bootcamp.
1. Day one:
a) BNT initial testing which includes a motor proficiency test,
wide range achievement test and a computerized attention test
(IVA); then a break
b) Two thirty minute back to back sessions of BNT
c) One biofeedback session (60 minutes)
2. Day two and four:
a) Two thirty minute back to back sessions of BNT
b) One biofeedback session (60 minutes)
c) One sixty minute session of Brain Gym® balances/exercises
d) One additional session (30 minutes) of BNT
3. Day three:
a) Two thirty minute back to back sessions of BNT
b) One biofeedback session (60 minutes)
c) One thirty minute session of Brain Gym® balances/exercises
d) One additional session (30 minutes) of BNT
4. Day five:
a) Two thirty minute back to back sessions of BNT
b) One biofeedback session (60 minutes)
c) One thirty minute session of Brain Gym® balances/exercises
d) Retesting: motor, achievement and attention
e) Exit interview and follow up recommendations
E) When you come in for care, children are encouraged to bring
a movie to watch during biofeedback sessions. We also recommend
bringing snacks incase they get hungry during the day.
Payment of $3600 is due at the beginning of the week. Analytical
Research Lab testing is $75.00. NeuroScience testing ranges
from $145- $290.
For out of town clients, there are several
nearby hotels, restaurants, shopping establishments, theaters
and other sources of entertainment. Please ask our staff for
more information.
